If the brake fluid container under the hood is about 1/2 full, does that mean the pads are worn to the point they need to be changed. I rather change the pads sooner than later . Don't want to have to change rotors too...$$$$
I don't see any fluid leakage.

Next question, do I need money???

Brake fluid is not related to pad wear, unless the resevoir is empty, in which case your pads are fine :D

Add fluid, if needed, to keep it between min and max. If no other symptoms, keep on trucking!

Brake fluid level is related to pad wear: As your pads wear the fluid reservoir level will drop. Its not intended to be a gauge of the wear so it is wise to keep it topped up and inspect your brakes annually. Half full is too low and if you haven't serviced your brakes recently, you should pull all four wheels and see what's there.
