I am starting to cart around a lot of crap on a daily basis. Do any of you guys have a suggestion for some type of bag that doesn't look fruity? Should I just get a nice soft side briefcase?

I just went to Marine World today with my two sons, their cousins and their father (my brother-in-law) who is a vetran FBI officer. All day he wore his daughters pink Hello Kitty Backpack loaded with water and snacks. Mind you he's packing heat in his BDU's.

It takes a very secure man to wear a pink Hello Kitty backpack.

hire a midget currier, the only two acceptable man bags for daily use are brief case or laptop case.

I've got a couple of different things that I carry, when needed. Mostly, I carry this thing that Jansport used to make for backpacking. It's got this a ton of pockets and stuff. I carry my small digital camera, iPod, earbuds, moleskin, extra memory card, 2 AA batteries, a flash light, a bandana and a Letherman wave in it. Friggin thing rocks. It also fits perfectly in the stash space below the "cup holders" on the driver's side of my 60's center console - this thing goes with me everywhere. I call it my "man bag" :D (and I don't feel the need to pack heat, either.)

When I've got more crap to carry, I have a military surplus courier's bag that is really friggin' cool. It's from Europe somewhere, cost me $18 and I've used it as a briefcase, diaper bag and laptop bag, camera bag for my DSLR, etc. (not at the same time)...It's not huge, but just big enough to put my 15" powerbook into without a problem.

Attached is the Jansport thing. If you can find one, pick it up. It's designed for backpackers to carry essential stuff in - it attaches to one of the shoulder straps of your pack...I don't think they even make them anymore. :(

(I have 3 bags that go with in each car) other is a soft sided briefcase

I carry alot of stuff in my pockets, SW 340PD 357 mag(or Seecamp) in Mitch Rosen pocket holster(amazinly easy to carry in a pair of shorts front pocket) 5 spare rounds of ammo, small Kersaw flip knife(in winter I carry the bigger version), keys, Surefire tac light, notebook, pen, wallet, cigerette case(its flater than a pack of smokes) lighter, $20 bill loose next to my 340PD.
