Hey guys, we’re planning a club camping trip the weekend of November 12-14 to North GA. We will start out on the western start point of the Georgia Traverse and make our way east, up into TN and loop back down.

Tentative plan is to meet in Trussville off I-59 Friday morning at 11am and head out.

Looking to do the GA Traverse this week. How was the route? Any significant road closures or other issues?

We did a loose interpretation of the Traverse. We started on the Western side and worked our way around the Cohutta Wilderness, then up into TN/NC around Nantahala NF.

Tray Mtn is usually always closed and they will ticket you if they find you up there.
