Just purchased a 1984 FJ60 that has been "desmogged" lots of stuff ripped out of the engine bay. All the vacuum has been removed from rotor cap and I need to take care of that. I have routed the vacuum to the top of the factory air cleaner and I was try to find the filter and bracket (which has been removed) on line, no luck. Any suggestion as where I could route the other line to draw filtered outside air through cap?

that filter is actually on the inside of the cabin, the nipple should be sticking thru the firewall, maybe 1 foot below the wiper motor, somewhere in that area

And by 'Filter' it's just a small can filled with some metal mesh. If you can't find a replacement, you can just use any non-restrictive small filter that'll probably be better than the stock thing. I've seen people use a small crankcase filter with a tube. And the reason it's inside the cabin is obviously to pull dry, cool air thru the dissy.
