Nice write up. Am I correct in saying that the 16 and up 200s have the 354MM front discs?

Any issues or modifications required for the ABS sensor wires, or are they not impacted by this upgrade?
 
I had some concern too but fortunately no modifications or impact to the ABS system, CRAWL, or DAC. They continue to work as factory. I've had to do emergency stops since install and the brake balance and ABS function work well, even with 35s.
 
Just completed this project today. Easily one of the best mods yet on this heavy beast. Pedal feel is much better and stopping power seems substantially increased. Kicked in ABS once when bedding the new brakes. Definitely one of the most substantial upgrades you can do that gets daily use.
 
Do the Tundra rotors fit the Land Cruiser 200 (LX570) calipers, or does one need to upgrade both? Are the caliper mounting points extended on the Tundra vs the Land Cruiser?

Nope. They need to be upgraded together, Tundra caliper to Tundra rotor. The Tundra caliper locates itself further out to accommodate the larger diameter rotor.

The Tundra/LX/LC calipers do share common pad fitments.

I ordered rotors and they said they were for tundra/sequoia/land cruisers 16-20.
 
SQOD: How important is it to fabricate brake line retainer? This is the hardest step. Can't it just be glued to bracket?

Good question and there's likely a multitude of ways to do it. It's probably important to secure the brake line so it's not flopping around as the suspension cycles or in turning.

Not sure I'd be completely comfortable with glue, but a structural adhesive like Sikaflex may just be fine. I suspect some may even use tie-wraps? My bracket probably is more complex than necessary, and a simpler bracket could be devised?
 
I was thinking something like high temperature epoxy with zip ties.
 
@TeCKis300 I am confused about which part to order for brake line from bracket to chassis. Help me decide please.

I ordered stainless steel brake line on ebay for $30. A bit pricey but had heard from Taco that stainless steel brake lines improve brake feel. Plus I just changed brake lines on my 100 as they rusted out.
 
One final question before I submit this order. It's said that calipers up to 2020 may even work, however I noticed part number differences and want to confirm fitment on an 2015 LX would fit if I follow this guide:

Left Caliper - Toyota Tundra 2016-2020 (47750-0C040)
Left Caliper - Toyota Tundra 2007-2015 (47750-0C030)

Right Caliper - Toyota Tundra 2016-2020 (47730-0C040)
Right Caliper - Toyota Tundra 2007-2015 (47730-0C030)

Notice the 2007-2015 model year part ends in 30 and the 2016-2020 model year end part in 40

Would the 2016-2020 model year parts work for this guide? Not sure if brake pad compatibility differs between these two as well

Short answer is yes.

From my cross reference, all these part numbers are compatible with the following. So it's just a part number superseding the prior rather than different fitment.

It looks like TRD is just an aesthetic change from the factory setup? And 323mm rotor?!
