DIY Load Bars with Gamiviti Gutter Mounts? (1 Viewer)

What are you guys using for load bars with your Gamiviti Gutter Mounts? I'd like to eventually go for a full blown Gamiviti or custom built roof rack, but think I can get by with running basic load bars for a while. I feel like there have to be good DIY options instead of buying pre packaged load bars.

Just go to your local metal supply and get some aluminum square or rectangle tubing. They usually even have plastic plugs for the ends.

Thought about doing that. Any load bar would work, just measure twice and drill once. You can even get the fancier aero load bars from Thule.

FYI some guys have gotten wind vibrations from the square tubing with no weight on them.

Gamiviti mounts with steel tubing
