oh yea and on some 4wds the fuel tank filler hose needs to be longer
seen it on a body lifted hilux

you also end up with shifter interference, steering column issues, brake line mods, drop the clutch line, electrical harness will be tight in places with a 3".
Bruce (Lowenbrau) did a 1" lift (i beleive) and it looked good.

Shifter interference is a bit of a pain, but is not a whole load of work to get around. If i were to do it again i would probably do a 1inch BL, it gets rid of, or lessens alot of the niggling things that you have to do. Personally with the 2inch BL I didnt have any issues with the other things you have mentioned but I wouldnt be surprised if they became problems with a 3inch BL.

Marks 4WD Adapters recommend welding a washer onto the body to reinforce it, preventing cracks in the mount...
Body Lift Kits

Do you put the rubber mounts above or below the body lift blocks?

Thats the first I have heard about this, probably worth doing thanks for the link.

I put my blocks on top of the rubber mount as i believe the rubber bits should be around the body mount.

Also, my airbox and fuel tank didnt need any modification. I did need to slacken off the handbrake cable though.

to me 3" is where you cross over the line...
but then i would rather do a suspension lift.
but
each to their own.

the rad is mounted to the body on a 70 series so it will go up with the body and will need to be dropped back down...
good point.

or just drop the rad the 3" by drilling new mounting holes into a custom mounting bracket. if you try a new hose the hose location will interfere with the shroud...
