I've got the last week of Oct off and will rebuild my brakes. Looked at the manuel and it is confusing.
Any body got any suggestions?
It is an 07' Taco.
Anything would be helpful, I have rebuilt many brakes on other stuff, but not a new(er) 4X4.

What all are you doing for the rebuild? Is it front, rear, or both?

The pads on the front have pins that hold them in the 4-piston calipers. You will need some way to retract the pistons--usually a couple screwdrivers will do the trick with the old pads still in there. Then pull the pins and set the pads aside. The calipers are held in place with 2 bolts each, with a 17mm head. Once the calipers are pulled, the rotors slide right off for machining or replacement. Hope that helps, you may still have my number, so feel free to call.

just replacing the pads. Stockers made it to 98K. What does anyone think about BBC pads that are so heavly advertised.

finished it yesterday. 1st time I've done discs that have a non removable caliper. easier that I thought.
