98’ 100 series. The truck started acting like it’s locked in the rear. I cycled through low range and cycled through the lockers (factory rear arb front) I can hear the rear click on/off. Relivent information: 10” of snow, about 30 degrees, spent yesterday shuttling my kids on a sled run. I didn’t switch on lockers or low range during that time.

What’s the behavior of the RDL dash light? It should be off until you engage the switch, then it should flash if the tcase is in H, or until it locks when the tcase is in L. When locked and in L it should stay on.

Rdl lights work as they should to include the abs light

So the RDL light goes out but the rear axle is still acting like it’s locked?

It was, could even hear the click. It resolved on its own after cycling through rdl and cdl a few times on a icy road doing figure-8’s. I think the cdl May have been the culprit.
