need a rear diff lock actuator for my '96. don't know how it got water in the actuator, it seemed pretty sealed to me, but it did... thanks. -VETTE

The actuator off the axle? Not the electronics?

I've seen a few people looking for one, but I've never heard of one selling separately. Toyota doesn't sell them either.

I'm pretty sure it could be fixed.

If you do come across one, I'd be interested in the bad one for parts.

This is incorrect.

Toyota sells both front and rear actuators.

2 of the front are left in the country.

3 of the rears.

They are not cheap by any measure.

yeah, I opened it up and it was prety coroded. I am sure I could tear it all the way apart and clean it all up. just wanted to see if there are any out there.

I believe that's/or was Downey.

I fixed my corroded actuator; there are threads. Then I went looking for one 'just in case.' Scored a pristine one off of ebay for $100; it's a keeper.

Wait a minute. I said they didn't sell them. I didn't say they didn't offer them for sale. No one's going to buy one for $700 & change when you can get the whole diff for $500 pretty regularly.
