I have a open diff semi-float rear on my BJ73 at the moment, have picked up an LSD full floater to replace it. Wondering if I can just put the diff head from the full float into my current axle for now - the intention being to replace all seals, studs, bearings etc in the full float and install a Harrow-Eaton E-locker, then swap the whole unit in.

Thoughts?

Short answer yes .. you can but ain't gonna work ..

why ?

How you gonna put back the C-clips on .?

In the LSD 3rd member there is no provision to insert the c-clips back in ..
