Diesel landcruiser engines imported to the US

I am in australia, most of the engines are from Eastern Europe. They come in front cuts, we sell them for 18-23k here in Aus depending on that year model / how much use / condition etc. We dont have any issues getting rid of them over here, just exploring the possibility of getting / selling more. sounds like its not worth it.

So by 'front cuts' that means the engine bay chopped at the firewall area so no dash to get km's? Do the front cuts still have the VIN plate?

$18k+ must be for a 1hdfte surely as a 1hdt couldn't be that much when 2 yrs ago they were around $8k imported to Oz.

I know a guy who got an FTE from Germany for $5K
