Which diesels came with 4:11 ratio thirds ? I searched and found some answers but not all of the info I am after. Looks like some came with 3:7? and some with 4:11 is there an easy way to tell ? THANKS

Jason YY said:Ok thnaks for that link, But the issue I have is I found a set of axles out of a diesel rig had a 3b and a 5 speed with that engine tranny combo will it have 4:11's ? The rig is long gone so no firewall tag. And the axles are about 2 hrs from my home.
I guess that its about a 50/50 chance of them being 4:11?

BJ42 all 4.1:1 1983,84
BJ60 all 3.7:1 1983, 84, 85
BJ70 all 3.7:1 1985, 86, 87
You'll turn the pinion flange 4:1 or 3.7 times for each revolution of the wheels.
