Diesel Fuel Injector cleaning?

Hi,

I was wondering what products are good at cleaning diesel fuel injectors?

So far I've heard good news about Lucas Fuel Injector Cleaning and Stanadyne Diesel Systems.

Any tips or experience with these products or similar products? Will they help clean the injectors?

This is a temporary solution, and eventually I will be removing the injectors to get them cleaned.

Skip the purge and just pull them out and have them re-done. Most need it.

Call Rob Milson at Landcruiser industires for a spare set. You buy his, and give him yours. He includes all the gaskets. All you need is a socket for them. I think 27MM. But could be wrong. It is a deep 1/2 inch drive 27MM.

The time it takes to do the purge you can change the nozzles with a set that are new.

While I think purges are ok, You have to monkey around with the return line from the nozzles and block the IP from ingesting air. If you just run the purge through the pump it will cause grief IMOP. It loosens up all the gunk in the system, to only do an endless loop of gunk moving about in there.

Once the gunk is loose in the return from the nozzles it has no filter to re-clean. It just circles through.

SO as I said before, just have the nozzles serviced.

I did a seafoam purge on my Mercedes diesel with excellent results.

But I was able to trap the dirt and filter the cycle thru the IP
