I know there's an HJ-47 Troopie somewhere in the state. Can't remember, but I think it may
be in the Tucson area.
Rhino has done some looking into this. Seems all you have to do is tell them you repowered
your Cruiser for fuel economy. They'll issue you a spec based on the MFR date of your rig,
do the appropriate test and you should be good to go. For a 60, it should be nothing more
than a smoke opacity test at idle and governed RPM. Run biodiesel and you should have
0 problem passing.
I've also seen a 72 or 74 in town.
 
i dont have the specific engines they can test, but they do have numbers to test toyota cruiser diesels of some form per a discussion i had some time ago. youe best bet would be to call them (gordon-darby) and find out the scoop on the particular engine you want to run.
