And fished out another .22 casing. I should have kept count, I have dug out more 22 shells and cigar bands out of this thing. I think the last PO used it as his ranch gopher killing rig

IMHO you can't go wrong with always moving toward a more vs less stock look... that thing is way too nice to have any diamond plate anywhere near it! I vote for remove, neutralize any rust spots and use the crap out of it!

The previous owner of my rig put diamond rear quarters on the rig and pretty much destroyed the quarters on an almost rust free cruiser. Take that stuff out of there and keep it away from the nice looking cruiser. That stuff looks awful and eats steel.

Alright Thank You all for the input. I think I’ll start by unbolting the plating in the rear and getting look, then screw around with the front. I will update this post then with the results . Thanks Again!

Update: got it all out today. Rear sill and bed is going to need a little help. It has a ton of adhesive and some pretty good rot, but I guess could have been worse. Passenger floorboard looks good, drivers not so much, it’ll need work as well. Pics attached:
