I need a diagram to show how the shims and stuff go on the pinion. It would help me out alot.

1. Which way does the slinger face?
2. Which is the crush sleeve? Is it the piece thats also referred to as the seal? Cause I dont see anything else...

Okay, Ive been told the seal I bought was the crush sleeve. Dont know where they get the name crush sleeve, but oh well... Which way does the slinger face?

Cupped side towards diff.

Dont know what year diff you have but there is a crush sleeve on 60 series diffs. Acts to set the preload on the pinion bearing.

Ive got the FJ-40 diff
