Any one have experience with both of these that has an opinion. I'm suffering from analysis paralysis and can't make up my mind. Seems like Deutsch is the way to go, but the cost of crimping tools for all the different sizes is prohibitive.

I'll be using it for mostly small applications like reworking the rear harness on my 40. But there are a few heavier applications I want to be able to create connectors.

I use both. The tool is the kicker but makes a really nice connection. Deutsch are much more compact in comparison the weather pack. But the weather pack are nice as well. There are cheap knockoff amazon crimp tools that work pretty well. After starting to use them I’ve goon to all non insulated electrical connectors and shrink wrap or liquid tape. To cover.
 
I used weather pack. Bit bulky in places but work well. Crimper and removal tool are key pieces
