I know someone with a Detroit Axle Steering Column and they're very happy with it.

I installed Detroit Axle sway bar end links on my wifes Sedona and my Cruiser, high quality American made, lifetime warranty.
Detroit Axle is a well known and trusted brand, let us know what you think after you install them.

Their facility is on 8 mile in Detroit. Been there physically in person. They get parts in, get people to rebuild them, and send em out. They used to be called Dearborn Axle.

Is it the best, or even good? LOL. They are a volume, discount operation. Would I put one on a cruiser? Depends what it is. If my life depended on my Cruiser in the Sahara? Then probably not and you'd know to go always OEM.

I have one of their axles in my garage waiting to go on my Cruiser. I called and checked before I bought, they only use OEM axles for their Cruiser remans. If you aren't running the maximum lift and wheeling the snot out of your rig, it should be fine. But I do my own work, so if it lasts two years and I have to buy another one, I'm only out $75. Labor to install an axle is pretty low, though, it's an easy job for someone with the right tools and know-how.

The racks on Amazon for our Trucks are also around 250 bucks with no core charge.

They charged me core on the axle. I can bring back any axle I wanted, they don't care if its OEM or aftermarket, its going to get rebuilt and resold as a LC CV. The guy behind the front counter can tell you anything, and sure people will believe what he says.

So was the axle you got from them a rebuilt OEM axle or some junk aftermarket one?

Whats so great about OEM? Toyota doesn't make the parts, the parts are made in a factory by someone else.

Yeah, I'd rather have AISIN build the axle for me than American Axle build my CVs. Whats your point?

That's kind of where I'm at. I don't need them to last 100,000 miles I can replace them every few years.

I called and they actually checked for me. They did not charge me for a core.

CRAP. I am sorry I said nice things about them. Just opened the box, and they sent me the wrong damn axle. It is a nice looking OEM rebuild, JUST THE WRONG FRICKING AXLE. (The duct tape MacGyver fix on the old axle was just to get me home to Florida from Georgia!) :-(

I just placed an order. I hope mine is correct.
