I have a check-list for my Challenger and a MOPAR tote (containing some 30-odd items) that goes in the trunk before every show.

Unless you have detailed a show car you have NO idea..........;)

And the 60's threads today are ALL tech. A sampling:

Any idea where I can get replacement "wood"
Where is the turn signal flasher? Any pics?

And peeps that can't use Google:
Phone number for Performance Radiator?

And racists:
White 60 owners... I need your help.

And 80 series wannabes:

Can we get a rig of the week, month? ROTW,ROTM?

you scary man that is just the cleanest 80... Honestly I haven eaten off plates that looked more questionalbe then your engine and engine bay!

i just used a clay bar on mine this past weekend and it was night and day. the paint looks much better. it took quite a bit of time to do it all by hand but i feel that the results were well worth it.

Hey LX, that footrest pedal is filthy (pic 3 post 28). You should be ashamed!

poor-mans?

My dad used Meguiar's products on his '61 vette, I've grown up using them.
They are excellent and affordable.

now if they only made a clear coat repairer..guess I'll need to go the route CDAN went.

I go to one of them pay to spray places that has simple green in the hose for degreasing, that works awesome in engine bays. And carpet mats.

I did this yesterday:

Wash
Clay bar
Buff with heavy scratch remover where needed.
Buff with light scratch remover over all.
Buff with polishing agent.
Wax
Buff with micro fiber bonnet.

I just got a Porter Cable 7424 and it is the bomb. It easily cut the buffing time in half from my old cheapo buffer. The whole process took less than 5 hours. The results are excellent. I still have some of the deep pinstriping because I didn't want to buff too deep into the clear coat.

I have not gone over the trim yet so that will add some more time to the job.

Who needs a paint job when you have a Porter Cable?:grinpimp:

Someone's gotta ask, how do you clean all those schmegged-out rags and towels once thru? From car polish, wax, clay, leather goop, assorted greases, grime, grit, etc/ Throw 'em out, washing machine or some sort of mineral spirit frappe you're concocted? :wrench:
