The GX470 was purchased used by me so I do not know the history of the parts but I did not take the skid plates off-road or load anything on the factory cross bars. I installed an RCI front skid plate and rhino rack cross bars when I got the GX. I also have the cross bars from a 4th gen 4Runner (where the rci skid plate and rhino rack bars came from).
