I was thinking since the 2F is a heavy duty tractor of an engine that turns at somewhat low RPMs, that it may be a good idea to run a tractor type motor oil. Currently I'm running Shell 5w-40. Does anyone run either of these oils?

My dad has run Delo 400 as my whole life in all of his PUs and cars. He purchased it in 55gal drums because of the construction equipment we owned. Don't know if he ran it because of it's properties, or because it is so much cheaper by the drum than anything else by the qt.

Delo all the way

Delo 400 is all I run in my 40, plus my dad, and uncle both run it in the dodges, 1 TD, and a 360. Very good protection!

Delo 400 and Rotella T are what most guys run in their diesel tow rigs. I use Rotella T in my Cummins.

I've run both with good results in everything from my 40 to bobcats, tractors, even refrigeration compressors. Either one will do good by you. For me the question is which can the supplier get to me faster when I need it.
