Tech session

Hello FLCA folks...

As Archie puts it, "let's have a tech-na-que" a combination of a tech session and a BBQ. Sounds good to me .

So...we are going to meet at Luis' house in Apopka on Saturday August 28th, starting around 9AM to start on some diff rebuilds, locker install and repair of an ARB air line. All this should give you a good understanding of diffs and how grease gets onto everything.

During the day we'll fire up the BBQ and have a good lunch and kick back session in the back yard . We need RSVP on this if you plan to attend so we can get the proper food together. Please post up if you plan to attend.

There should be, as starters, Luis, Archie, Rocky, Ricky and me. Come on over and help with the diffs and enjoy the day...

See you there,
Jerry Dixon

can someone inspect a cruiser form me?

Looking at cruiser near orlando, looking for someone to possibly inspect a 62 landcruiser for me, be happy to pay for their time. Thanks Jon call me 918-230-5900

Would be happy to do that along with a fellow club member who really knows the mechanical end. Let us know if we can help out and any particulars you would like us to report back on. The best time would be on a Friday or Saturday if that works out. If not any day early morning.

Very important

PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO AND PASS IT ALONG WHERE APPROPRIATE:

Here are 3 different links to the video: You can help by passing it along and posting it where you see fit.

Or yet again here:
Videos Posted by The Greystone Project: "Piping Mad" [HQ] | Facebook

The Outer Banks Preservation Association has been accumulating various legal fees during the fight against "critical habitat" for the Piping Plover. Rob Schonk, an Avon NC resident and executor of "Schonk Family Charitable Trust", was preparing to donate the remaining balance to the OBPA.

Kim Mosher, seen in the video, convinced Rob to use the value of the trust in producing a PR piece about what is going on in Hatteras instead.

The video has had a huge local impact and has not gone unnoticed on the Internet. It has been described as "going viral" on it's own and has been picked up by several east coast blogs/websites. A full length version of this video is due out this fall.

Anything you can do to promote this would be greatly appreciated.

1983 BJ60 I purchased--Does anyone know anything abbout it?

Hey Guys, I'm a member of the Bayou State Landcruisers in Louisiana and I just purchased this 83 BJ60. I purchased it from a auction in Jacksonville site unseen, I do not take delivery of it until 10/8---I was hoping to get some history or detail on it. I would assume it used to belong to someone in this club, it has the TLCA stickers on it etc.. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I am looking for a beach access 4x4 camping park. Are there any on the FL Gulf coast or any in Florida at all?

Thanks in advance

Nice lookin ride. Sight unseen? Either you are awful trusting or something I can't quite put my finger on. Lets see, camping sites on the Gulf Coast. Not sure but I think Ft. Desoto area has some that might work. I'll check with the other half when I get home as she used to go much more than I do. Not into sandcamping. Orignally from TN and used to mountainside stuff. Nice ride though. Has it been delivered? Oooops just saw that you don't take delivery till the 8th. Good luck
