Hey you,

Shoddy/crappy workmanship happens all the time. An honest craftsman would refuse to allow such work as a matter of pride and reputation--would not agree to perform it even if asked or paid to do so, through miscommunication or not. So the fact something horrible was done to your truck by a company you chose, speaks volumes about this vendor. No excuses.

Going further, your "warning" as it sits helps no one--not you or any of us. There are always two sides to every story, and yes the details matter. Whether the story is told factually and completely is usually the issue. Thoroughly written agreements help avoid later disagreements--do you have such paperwork?

If you want opinions here, you need to provide more information, and can omit the vendor's name until all the laundry is aired and commented upon. Perhaps the vendor will recognize his work, his behavior, and hearing the opinions provided here, rectify the situation to your mutual satisfaction. Or perhaps not. Then again your part in this affair may be strongly criticized and you may see the error of your ways. Or not.

Your initial reluctance to name names when you're mad and frustrated shows a bit of class, but again, the details matter. Think about if and how you want to continue your story. There is a great and well-experienced collective body here that can volunteer opinions and advice, but don't expect everyone to agree with your position and how you acted with this vendor. Good luck.

My two cents.

Nice to see all this without a lot of shouting and rock throwing - good work on the part of the vendor and customer.
