Can defunct chapters be removed?

I live in Alabama. It's been my understanding that requests have been made to remove the defunct 'Deep South Cruisers' club from the TLCA directory of clubs.

TLCA: Chapters and clubs

It's confused a few folks, including me... but that was 8 years ago when i got confused. Think it's time to remove from the locations it's listed?

We've got a few yota clubs in the state, including a DixieLand Cruiser Club that was working on charter... but that was shelved for a number of reasons.
Irony is there's a listing for one club that doesn't exist, but a club that does exist does not have charter...

Yes, contact the TLCA secretary who can confirm their lack of Chapter in Good Standing, and he can ask the Editor to remove them.

Occasionally, a little file maintenance is needed.

Thanks for asking! please contact the TLCA secretary to start.

Hi Eric,

I see that Deep South is listed in both Toyota Trails and on our web site. I also checked our roll call attendance roster that Secretary Ross Woody distributed on Dec. 1 2010 and see that this chapter is not listed, meaning that Deep South has probably not submitted a CGS form in a long time.

Since both Todd (editor, Toyota Trails) and Matt (Webmaster) were both on this distribution list when it was posted 6 days ago, I will send out a tickler to ask them to each update their public lists accordingly.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention!

It's been defunct I'd say for 8 years that I know of.... as in, zero activity. but I'm guessing longer.
Way back then, I tried joining, but he eventually got back to me telling me it wasn't a club any longer... I know of others searching for a local club that did the same thing until we finally put together the DixieLand Cruisers board here on mud. An Alabama State club message board.
