On my 1994, I noticed tranny fluid (yes, it's red) where the back of the engine and the front of the tranny meet. A few drops a day. I have been watching it closely after I cleaned the area off last Friday. It's definitely from that interface.
I do not have the FSM at the moment. Is there just one big gasket that needs to be replaced at that interface? Are there other gaskets that could possibly need replacement inside that interface.
