December meeting/Christmas dinner ideas

Nothing has been ordered, just wanted to see where the total tally ends up.

Delivery cost is $25, offset by using our $20 coupon.

So, the party starts at 4pm? When should I have the food delivered?

4pm is great!

that sounds like a fair deal for delivery. I anticipated much higher for these types of places. anytime between 3-4 is fine.

So far we have 20 adults and 5 kids. I'm counting the teenagers as adults.

So, should we go for the Deluxe Celebratory Package ? This is suppose to feed 20 adults family style and includes everything in one package.

Will the following choices work with the group?

Choice of two salad - Apple Gorgonzola & Mixed Green salad
Choice of two pastas - Spicy Chicken Rigatoni & Penne San Remo
Choose an entre - Chicken Parmigiana with fresh baked house bread
Choice of one dessert - Tiramisu (serves 10)

Additional dessert - Chocolate chip cannolis (serves 10)
Additional entre just in case kids like the "normal" stuff - Macaroni and cheese (serves 10)

If this sounds good, I'll call the order in today when they open up.

Let's do it and hope that everyone that wants to come has already confirmed. It would not be good if another 10 people show up if we've ordered food for 20 people.
 
even then we should be fine. that is a lot of food. they over estimate the amounts typically. add a beer or 2 in there and you fill up fast!

Darn it, their catering slot is tied up so they can't deliver the food to RR. Shawn, you still up for picking up the food or is anyone else? If so, I can set it up for 3:30 pickup.

Mike - 2 for sure. Ross is a maybe. He is in town and wants to come.

For those planning and doing head counts... Every year that I can remember, we have more people show up for this than confirm ahead of time.

I can't make it... stuck oncall again, however I have a topic that needs to come up again, and hopefully a firm decision: the website.

We almost came to a consensus to move to a much lower cost provider, with less space etc, but never got full agreement. Renewal is in February, and I would like a decision before then, so I can help get it moved and avoid getting billed again then.
 
Ash, please update first post with details including how to get to Shawn's house, the time, white elephant, toys for kids and whatever else the group has decided on.
