ok, not much of a meeting, mainly because it was more of a party. a very good turn out and some old and new faces!:D

thanks to Han and Keith for hosting! along with Mike for picking up the food. the elephant gift exchange was fun.

Dec. 28-30 is the Farmington trip, see thread in sticky section for details.

Jan 1- traditional New Years Day run. a thread will be started for this run.

Jan 7th, Saturday- annual meeting. dues are due! officer "elections" take place. I mentioned that I will pass on the President position. start thinking of who you would like to see in that spot or if you would like to do it. it's an easy job. the hardest part is writing these meeting minute threads.:D

anything I missed?
 
You say "dues are due", I take it that this would be a good time to officially join the HDC? I guess first I need to join the main Land Cruiser association first though right?
 
I think we decided a year or two ago that we didn't require TLCA membership in order to join HDC. Who remembers the details and the final decision?

yeah that would be a good time ;)

and no, TLCA membership is not required for HDC ( unless marc and i are both mistaken)

Please pay your 2012 dues and your 2011 dues if you are still unpaid.

Club funds (which are VERY limited) were used to pay for the food at the last 3 or 4 Christmas parties. The catering cost is ~$10 per person attending the party. Do the math and you will see that the small amount we pay for HDC dues is well worth it.

We encourage everyone to be a TLCA member in addition to joining High Desert Cruisers. They produce a good magazine and provide other entertainment for members. :-)

Onur is our TLCA rep and he has some interesting stories to relay from the TLCA conference calls.

Since it has come up, here are the rules for paying memberships.

If you are a new member please fill out a membership form. If you are an existing member I will have you on the spreadsheet.

  • You can PayPal to hdcruisers@yahoo.com. Ya, we will get dinged, but we just eat the pennies.
  • You can pay with a check made out to me.
  • You can pay cash, though I prefer the two methods above. If you do, please fill out a membership form so I know where the money came from.

Edit - Never mind - found it on the membership form - $20 a year.

No, but if you get a full HDC logo tattooed on your back we will be in awe and let you show it to our women.

I know its been awhile, but I hope to make the meeting on the 8th.
