I need to get seat-belt recall done and would like to do T-SB-0209-17 done for my 2016 LC. Just got off phone with Round Rock Toyota and not going back their. The messed up some stuff on my T100 and giving me the its 150dollars to diagnose your transmission as opposed to just doing T-SB... software update.

So who has dealer in Austin, Cedar Park, Hutto, etc... area they actually trust?

Ceder park Toyota- ask for Frank Cleaveland, hands down best/honest technician in the country.

Well, don't go to Charles Maund Toyota under any circumstance. They cocked up my steering rack job something good. Won't ever go back there or recommend them to anyone under any circumstance.

Wes at Autonation Toyota South Austin is the real deal. Got me a loaner because I was early in the process and they didn’t know how like it would take. Turns out it was under two hours. Zero complaints with the work too.

Also if you don’t know about it, lock your glove box and keep the key blade with you so they don’t accidentally destroy your recirc flap trying to check your cabin filter. They had a master tech do my seatbelt recall but who knows who does the maintenance/upsell inspection.

How'd they mess that one up?

Long story, short: they installed my new steering rack and neglected to put coolant back in my truck.....truck overheated massively on the drive home....no coolant anywhere in the system.....Charles Maund claimed my thermostat failed and the coolant was "mysteriously" trapped in the heater core....they replaced my 6 month old thermostat, lost the one that was supposedly broken and the mysterious disappearing coolant returned. Yeah, that was their story....not kidding. Can't discuss resolution as part of my agreement with Toyota USA.

So, yeah, don't EVER go to Charles Maund Toyota....not only are they incompetent, but they'll lie to your face to cover their butts.

I like the Cedar Park dealership, particularly if you're going to be waiting for your car. It's a nice building to have to sit around in. We have a 2017 Sienna that I purchased from them, and I take it there for scheduled maintenance. Haven't had to have them do any repairs because the vehicle is so new.

But I'm not thrilled with their work on my new-to-me 2001 Tundra. I took it there because the coolant was low when I bought the truck, and it was the green stuff. I wanted them to flush the system and do a pressure test to see if it was leaking anywhere. They told me no leaks, and filled it up with the correct coolant. A couple of days later I start noticing some red drips on my driveway. I look around and can't see where the leak is originating, but can clearly see it running down the path where they told me I was leaking oil from the crank seal. So, I'm pretty sure they diagnosed a crank seal leak without looking close enough to determine what type of fluid was present. It's not like I'm seething or anything, it just seemed sloppy. Leak turned out to be the water inlet. I had the guys at Bearden fix it. They found the leak location....by doing a pressure test. Funny, huh?

Anyway, if I take the Tundra back to Cedar Park I'll make sure to ask for Frank. I'll continue to take the Sienna there.

Ah, ok. I read this story of yours already. I forgot the detail that the rack was the reason for going in.

Yeah, I was super lazy and didn't want to do the job myself. Lesson learned though. LandCruiser Specialists and Bearden are the only people I trust other than myself to work on my LX.
