Dead turn signals and 4 ways.

I have searched the site and my service manual but very unclear on where to start. I have a 93 HDJ-80,Today I noticed my turn signals did not work so I checked the fuse(blown) replaced it and it blew again. Next I tried the 4 ways and It's fuse was blown as well. My sevice manual was not very helpfull nor did it explain where the turn relay was. Anyone have any ideas where to start my search. I am assuming it is a dead short somewhere common to these two items. I have a multi meter,but no access to tecks or more sophisticated diagnostics as I live in a remote part of Costa Rica Thanks in advance Don

The hazard switch itself could be faulty.

Anybody? location of flasher unit? 4 way flasher unit? sure would appreciate some help here

I am up and bored waiting for the rest of the family to get up, and just googled "fj80 flasher relay", lots of images for location etc ;

I had the same problem. The 4 way flasher had come slightly unplugged. I would check that first. I looked at wiring diagrams and trouble shot for over an hour. Then checked the simple idea . Might be worth a shot.
