Left the rear dome light on after reinstalling the second row seats yesterday, dead battery.... I tried to put the tranny in neutral to roll it out & jump it, no go, key turned all the way to the on position, foot on the brake. I gotta be missing something here. any ideas?

You missed the point.

There is a manual release on the shifter housing, under a plastic pop-in cover. Remove the cover and depress the release with a pencil or the like.

Ah, ok, sorry about that, after 4 years of working on the 40, I'm not very familiar with things like automatic transmissions & other fancy gadgets :)
