Damnit............what a screwed up design. How to remove? (1 Viewer)

Well finally got the timing pulley removed. Had to pull it the entire way off the crankshaft, so you KNOW that's not right. You need to be able to slide the pulley on at least up to the woodruff key in order to line it up. I did not see anything on the crankshaft or bore of the pulley that would have caused binding so probably just a tolerance issue.

After cleaning it (and the crank) up a bit I tried to start it by hand, nothing doing. So ended up taking a brake cylinder hone to the bore of the pulley and finally got it to be a very nice, tight fit right up to the keyway. Good to go now.

Checked my Cam Seals and although they didn't look to be leaking (now) no telling if they would in the future and I have new one's.....so in they go.

Needed to clean up the covers anyway from the water-pump leak that had everything coated with coolant.
