If you are using a straight front channel, this will probably continue to happen. You need to be using one that is curved downward on each end.
My 1st one came with the straight channel and I was always losing the top on the freeway. I went to the local offroad shop and bought a channel for a heep, measured it and shortened it in the middle, and have never lost top since.
Has anyone ever made small holes in the top to place zip ties through to hold the top down to the cage? Would this cause the vinyl to rip and continue to tear? Just seems like a quick way to hold the thing down without getting fancy sewing on accessory straps
The top I got from ocd was a little loose at the ends because I used AATLASX repro channel so I put twist locks at each end using the grommet tool ocd lent me. Works like a charm!
