I’m replacing the starter in my ‘99 with 236k miles and wanted input on carbon buildup in my cylinder heads. Additionally there’s some carbon deposits on top of one of the valves in the LH head. Should I be concerned? Would you leave it alone (seems like there could be a risk of creating more debris if I tried to clean it)? Would you increase your scope and turn the starter replacement job into something else? Thank you.
