I'm planning on going a little higher to clear 37's but am running out of driveshaft angle. I've heard on here that you can run fj-60 front cv drivelines after you cut them down. I was wondering what year would work for a '75 FJ40, with stock transfer and axles.

I used mini CV's and they were fine. you need to drill out slightly (I was course spline) so I bought a new flange for the front circle type from cruiser outfitters and drilled for the front. for the rear, I just took out all the studs from the parking drum and turned 45* then redrilled matching the pattern on the CV's. pretty easy. all i did was just set the cvs next to the flange/drum and drill. ;)

1980 through 1984 FJ60's in the USA had a CV front driveshaft....

    1985 and later did not.
