Has anyone ever cut & turned a rear axle on a 93+ 80 series? Just wondering if there is anything tricky I've done fronts before etc. I assume it's the same sort of setup out back just looking for possible pointers.

Lol thanks tips 😁 I know why it's done on the front. I want to turn it so the E-brake linkage will be at or near the axle center line as it sits now it'll snag on rocks etc. I want it up and out of the way

With an "off-caster" rear axle there's apparently an edge case involving lubrication failures on the pinion bearing as well, but you can fix that by overfilling the axle housing.

Wait, your e-brake works?

I'll be putting a nice big filler up higher and at ring teeth so I can inspect, and you don't really need to over fill but when you tip it up at pinion your fill plug lowers too much so it's actually under capacity.
