Custom shifter boot setups, let's see 'em!

I am thinking about grafting on a 60 series shifter "frame" onto my 40 tranny hump which was carved up to allow space to shift the 4spd and txfr levers. I basically cut a big square out of the hump just bigger than the two holes together. Should I adapt the 60 plate, fab up a new piece of metal with cutouts and weld in nuts for a bolted down boot, or what? I will be rhino-lining the interior so I gotta keep that in mind as well. I will want access from the top in the future.

What cool setups have you guys come up with?

I use 60 series boots in all my junk. They look better, and seem to be a lot stronger. All I had to do was redrill some holes. It would be a easy to fab a sheet to cover the P.O. cutout.
