Looking more like a truck

Well....a little progress from last weekend. Frame is stretched and the cab/bed are on. Cab mounts are made but we still need to make the bed mounts. Once we get the bed mounts made, it all comes apart so we can have the frame powder coated. Once the frame comes back from the powder coater, final re-assembly begins. Oh Yeah!

Also, we threw on some 35's to see how they fit. Not too bad but they are a little tight.

Enjoy.

hzjoe: This one is not for sale as this is my own personal vehicle and I am trying to get it ready for a trip.

However, we have several of these bodies for sale. A really good body is $7000 or we have some that suffered some slight damage in shipping and handling. If you don't mind a few dings and scratches, these bodies are $6000.

We are also building another one like mine alongside the one pictured. This one will be like the one pictured; same body, same color, and built on a FJ62 frame. Price will be $10,000 as is. If you are OK with a body with a few scratches and dings, price will be $9000.

$9000 or $10,000 for a complete roller, no drive train. We can finish it for you or you are welcome to take it home and put the drive train of your choice in it.

For what it is worth, a very economical build would be to take a FJ60 or FJ62 and put one of these bodies on using the existing drive train. You could add a 5 speed if you like. This particular build would be very cost effective and it would be a very unique truck.

When you say few 'dings and scratches', to what degree are we talking? Does it require repair or are they mostly superficial? Pic of example of damage?
Very minor scratches and dings..... a few hours of body work at the most. These were handled several times and loaded/unloaded into containers. Some of them sustained VERY MINOR scratches and dings. Basically a door ding, if you will, here and there in the bed and fenders. Again, nothing major.

We did have one that sustained a little more damage that would require more extensive body work. Again, nothing major but it was a little more than a scratch and ding. This particular one has sold as we discounted it heavily. It will be heading to CA once we finish the build. The owner does not mind as it will be a work truck/ mild wheeling rig.

I would be happy to send some pics of the damaged ones. PM me your email address.

Effen Gorgeous!!!

Thanks! I would love to have a Kimberly Kamper but not right now. I appreciate the offer but can't do it at this time. We can however, build you one just like it. It might surprise you how affordable these can be.

Yooper......getting excited yet!? Your build thread is not too far off.

your mail box is full...

I have received a bit of interest in these 79's so my mail box was full. I cleared some out so feel free to send me another PM.

Very very clean looking 79
how are you going with the dash parts
Im hanging to see a 80 series chassis under one of these 79 series

I need to call you guys...

John,
You guys have all the new toys. Are you going to keep this one for more then 6 months? Kidding. A wrecked 100 series would be nice under that body! Hope all is well

Peter

What are you talking about? John had the Whale a year before I bought it from him :)

John, once again, you are outdoing yourself. I am watching with awe. Any chance you can get some 4 door (HZJ77) bodies? If so, put me first in line!

If you are talking brand new 4 door bodies, like these cabs, then they would most probably be HZJ76.

i have a source for factory 4 door 75/79 series truck cabs, not cut down 77.76.78 bodies.
if you want one then contact me direct and just open up your wallet wide and you will get one.
