Hi Folks,

I just got ripped off on a rig that I bought from a guy in NH. He promised me it was rust free, and it was not at all rust free.

I am looking at my options here. One of the many things he lied about was having a clean title. In reality, he was curbing the vehicle and my state won't let me title it since the po did not title it in their name. My state does not allow you to "skip" an owner like that.

So my question to my granite state friends is this, does anyone know if it is illegal to curb cars in NH?

Thanks for the help,
Peter

in new Hampshire they don't use titles after a certain time. It's just about the registration. I've heard of a guy in MA that had no title on an old FJ40 that he had bought decades ago and "sold" the vehicle to a New Hampshire resident who could then register the vehicle off of the sales receipt. That same guy then bought back the vehicle and used the registration to get a title in MA.

As the story goes, the guy in MA was very grateful.
