How many and who out there has done this swap? I’d like to know how well folks are enjoying this swap...I just pulled the trigger on this crate motor! Pretty stoked!!

I really like the repower R2.8 in my CJ. I have about a 4.5" RE lift and run 33's. I re-geared from 4.10s to 3.55's after a couple of months of driving. I'm right around 2000 RPMs @ 70 MPH in 5th gear. My transmission is the AX-15, similar I think to the H55F. I will tell you that my CJ doesn't like going into 5th gear until around 60 MPH, and is very comfortable 65+ (all the way to 80 easy). Around town I usually don't use 5th at all, I get about 26-30 MPG around town and about 22 on the highway (65 to 75).

Okay, wow its taking longer than I planned. It's fired up and moving under it's own power. Some final wiring left to do and then the A/C needs to be finished up! Hopefully I'll have a video up soon.

Got word yesterday that @torfab fired up my 62 for the first time this week

Been driving the Playskool Cruiser this week before putting it back in storage for another winter here in Nova Scotia.
