  • October - @brices123 is organizing the October ROTM, the annual Casner trip October ROTM - Casner #8 Always very beautiful, many campers turn out but only 10 people are allowed on the permitted trail. Regardless of whether or not you're running the trail this is always a fun time, family-friendly.

  • December - No official CSC run planned yet for this month but a club out of CA the Beach n Toys Club posted that they're inviting CSC members to join them on their run of the Arizona Peace Trail Events/Trails - Arizona Peace Trail..East side December 26th to .... right after Christmas.
Treasury Report
  • As of September 20, 2019 CSC has $3,759.72, including cash and assets such as shirts and other merchandise. CSC officially became a non-profit club recently with real bank accounts and everything, so any donations you might want to make can be a tax write-off ;)
New Business
  • Ben @-Spike- from Tonto Recreation Alliance (TRAL) (also a CSC member) stopped by to share information about what that organization does and how CSC members could participate to help maintain Arizona's trails and recreational areas. TRAL Upcoming Events, Runs, Etc. - Tonto Recreation Alliance (TRĀL) Forum was organized to assist the Forest Service with trail maintenance because the FS was going to close about 1300 miles of trails due to its inability to maintain everything due to lack of manpower. TRAL is a bunch of OHV enthusiasts who have committed to keeping the trails open as volunteers through repairing the trails on a regular schedule. This plan has worked well, and now all of the trails are slated to be kept open unless there is some sort of biological issue or whatnot. TRAL is always happy to have new volunteers join its ranks to either go everywhere and inspect trails or pick a specific trail to adopt, so if you are interested in this contact @-Spike- (participating for this can count as volunteer hours if you are trying to get those). CSC has talked for many years about adopting the back way to Mt. Ord, which would be a commitment to going at least 2 times per year to inspect the trail, clear any brush etc, pick up trash, and report back on its condition to TRAL, then they would go out and assess damage and fix any issues if necessary (CSC members could also help with this part if they wanted). This would be a great thing to do as an organization to ensure that trail is always in good shape, to bring a sense of purpose to our wheeling. There are several other local clubs that have adopted trails in the Tonto (Mesa 4Wheelers, Honeywell 4Wheelers, etc.) TRAL meetings are the 2nd Wednesday of every month at the Mesa Ranger's Station, people are welcome to stop by for any meeting to learn more about becoming involved in maintaining the Tonto trails. TRAL.AZ.ORG is their website.
  • CSC Christmas Party will be December 14th, 2019 at @brices123's house. This event is for official CSC members only, so now is a great time to join if you are just a lurker/guest. Save the date. Dec 14th, 2019 CSC winter party is coming! Keep an eye out on the form for the official party thread for details.
