Cruisers on the Rockies took over where Hundreds in the Hills left off. COVID initially killed Hundreds in the Hills in 2020 which would have been the tenth year, and then again in 2021. The organizers decided not to do it again after that. The organizers of 'Crockies' had attended HIH9 (and some earlier ones) and loved it wanted an event similar to it in the East. So they started Cruisers on the Rocks in TN in 2021. It had lots of the same sponsors and a similar feel to the Hundreds in the Hills event but with some new things to make it more unique. When HIH didn't come back, the organizer of COTR started Cruisers on the Rockies in 2024. I first attended Hundreds in the Hills 3 in 2013 and most years after that. I volunteered to be a trail leader in 2017 just so I could guarantee a spot for myself when it got so popular that it would sell out in a matter of minutes. I happily volunteered to lead trails at the inaugural COTRockies in '24 and did the same in '25 and will again in '26. I just bought a 2015 LX but only plan to use it to tow my camper there and will have my daughter bring my '99 100-series for wheeling duties.
