The 11th Annual CruiserFest (2019) is Saturday, September 7, 2019 - 8AM-6PM at the Land Cruiser Heritage Museum.

UPDATE August 21: I still encourage experiencing Cruiser Fest, but no official Denver trail run this year! Not enough interest. Mark your calendar for 2020!

The Denver area contingent tradition is again ready to go. Its always a good time.

Looking west from Denver, the peaks of the Continental Divide are snow capped late into summer. Beyond, are passes, lakes, and streams unfolding for miles. Forests of aspen and evergreen, meadows heavy with wildflowers.

The trip starts work on Wednesday September 4th. We can convoy from Denver or you can use a GPS point (and track available, to be provided) and meet at camp area west of Craig CO. This will allow us to put down some pavement miles towards distant Salt Lake City and enjoy the remainder of the trip on dirt. We will make camp well after dark and be up with first light.

Your morning surroundings will amaze you as we will embark for two long days of glorious dirt roads, some small bits of pavement, Flaming Gorge dam, and onward through the Ashley National Forest across the north slope of the Uintah mountains, briefly darting in and out of Wyoming. This was "overlanding" before the word got used, abused, and hashtagged. We'll stop for gas once by Flaming Gorge Dam and not again till SLC.

Friday night we will camp close enough to downtown Salt Lake City to be able to arrive at the opening of CruiserFest.

Saturday night, we can go out to dinner together and then return to camp another night about an hour outside of Salt Lake City and on our route home. Some may prefer to camp at the KOA or otherwise, and you are able to choose at that point. If history is a guide, we’ll have a great crew for Saturday night camp. Typically a group convoys back to Denver on I-80.

Limited to the first 12 vehicles to commit. Minimum of 6 registered by August 19th or this may not go. Register above and e-mail me a heads up!

(Route and itinerary may vary due to surprises and conditions. You must be able to be self-sufficient except for a fuel stop Thursday AM and Saturday AM. Attendees will receive email updates as the event nears.)
