We need to add 4Wheel Parts Accessory Super Center in Post Falls, Idaho for sure. The Store Manager Brandon Ruiz is a top rated Tech with years of wrenching & fab work under his belt as is Brian Larson the Service Manager who also was an Aircraft Mechanic/Electrician in the Navy to boot. These guys are teamed up with the best inventory & knowledge of all the Quality 4X4 Parts available here in the PNW & I gotta admit I lucked out when they opened up shop here in my backyard. In addition Post Falls is also the 4WP's warehouse location and is attached to the sales showroom & the gigantic shop with multiple bays & lifts. They have yet to fail me in all my diff & gear work, bar work & electronics as well. The sales floor & tech personnel in the shop alike are all top notch gear heads that put their customers first. I am not affiliated with them in any way but feel it's my duty to pass this knowledge along to my fellow MUDDERS, they are some of the best I've seen in my 39 yrs of wheelin'. If your in the area check 'em out.

I've tried to add everything new I found in the FJ60 Mechanics gsheet.
I stopped replying because it would jump me to the end of the thread and I'd loose my place.
If I missed anything message me the details.
If you want to help keep the gsheet current message me.

Hey all, thought I would add myself. I am very familiar with 60/62’s. Here is a sample pic of a 60 I built.

I am opening the doors on a big Land Cruiser dedicated and specialty shop.

Four bays and enough room for six or more trucks.

I have room in the shop and on the schedule for one or two builds. Also doing smaller builds, general repairs and maintenance and just anything Cruiser.

My new location is at,
116 East 44th Street

Can anybody make any recommendations for Maine, New Hampshire or Northern MA? I'm in the Portland, ME area and there doesn't seem to be any independent shops that specialize in LC / LX. Please correct me if I'm wrong...

Yeah, the spreadsheet recommends Cruiser Solutions (which is in my small town) but I have heard that they shouldn't be trusted. I'd love to have a local Cruiser specialist that knows Toyota diesels.

Here are the two suggestions I've had for Southern Maine. I have yet to visit either shop so this isn't a recommendation yet.

Ken Boyce

You have a Toyota Diesel? How'd you get your hands on that? Is it a JDM import?

Not sure if I should update the field to a -1 based on hearsay, what do you recommend?

Looking for opinions. Should I add shops that request to be listed or should I only put them in if they are nominated by independent owners?

I'm not sure either. I quick search here on Mud gave results showing some bad experiences... their google review average is 1 or 2 so that was enough to make me wary. But, I have not done business with them. So, like you said, everything might be hearsay.

I put a disclaimer at the top. I can not really keep up with the reviews and I don't have an algorithm to average or other wise aggregate them. I'll probably just make it "the last review" or even delete the column.

People that get pissed off are 1000% more likely to write a review than those that are satisfied. Also people who write negative reviews sometimes conveniently leave out what their part in the problem was.

What I look for in Yelp, etc. is a pattern of people describing similar problems with a service provider but using different words to describe it. If you see that it's a real problem.

I have a 1988 lj73 diesel from Germany and I need a mechanic on Bay Area california

Still looking for cruiser mechanics in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Northern Virginia. I just drove down to Fredericksburg from Maryland that is almost a two hour run on mostly interstates. There are clusters of cruisers in No. VA yet no mechanic recommendations on this list? Basically no cruiser mechanic coverage along the east coast south of New Jersey and north of the Carolinas? Really nice list so far BTW, great service to the membership.
Did you ever find a good cruiser mechanic on the east coast? I'm in South East PA, close to Delaware and am looking for a reputable shop to take my 62 to. Thanks, Jaime

There’s a good shop in Pownal, VT
Poor Wally’s Landcruiser Emporium
Might be a haul but he does good work and knows Cruisers.

The list needs to be updated for the San Francisco location on Geary as the "Toy Shop".
The did a great job repairing the parking brake and doing wheel alignment on my '74 FJ40. :)
