So is it just 3 of us heading up there? I am planning to leave in the fairly early AM on Wednesday and shoot for lunch probably in Cortez. Anyone else have similar plans and want to caravan up? My planned route is 550 from Rio Rancho, to Farmington, north on La Plata Highway (140/170) to Hesperus, then west to Cortez, and lastly NW and N to Moab. Google maps says 6 hours, 11 minutes. I'm going estimate more like ~ 7 hours for bathroom/gas stops and lunch.

Yep.

That was Marc.

You still should have come say hi. I'd have let you check out the 61. ;)

I took very few pictures this year. I'll see what I can come up with on the camera later today or tomorrow.

E-Hill was a nice cruise as always. Turns out I can do 95% of it in 2 wheel drive in the 61. :grinpimp:

I posted a pic of my worn out TRE on the trails/events section of MUD though, in case anyone wondered what one of those looked like. Got it replaced by 1PM on Thursday though.

Love the early 80's mini truck!!!

(P.S. Did you forget to pack some lotion your knees were looking a little dry!:moon:)

The mini with the stock stripes was cool as crap.

But this one is pretty cool too:

(for those that aren't aware, that's Marlin's truck, and Marlin is back there talking about it in that pic)

The crawling videos came from Larry, as well as some of the pics. It was a good time indeed.

Looks like you guys had good weather and a great time!
We're just wrapping up to head home from our own private cruise moab... Had some powerful weather on Golden Spike and nearly 12 hrs on the trail Monday but ran pretty much everything up there.

Little gray truck did everything but the exit on Gold Bar Rim unassisted

12 hours on Golden Spike, wow!! How many rigs?

12 hours on Golden Spike, wow!! How many rigs?

9 hrs in motion , according to Gaia gps (excluding iphone heat failures) on pretty much all the trails up there.
Add in lunch, a little winching, headlight wiring overhaul, hail storm delays, a diabetic insulin reaction, and a whole lotta route finding in the rain and dark.
Three rigs, no injuries, no damage of any consequence. Great fun!!

One never remembers the easy days.

Looks like a fun time was had by all - thanks for sharing the pics and videos!
