It's me again... ;)

The cruise control on my 'new' truck doesn't seem to work (unless I'm doing something wrong). It just appears it won't engage. The little light comes on in the dash, but that's it.

Pardon my ignoance, but is there anything I should be looking for? Any tips for diagnosis/repair?

TIA for your responses!

Chris

Press it in to turn it on. The A/D light should come on on your dash. Then press down to set and hold it for a moment. Let it go and it should engage. You should then be able to acclerate by holding the lever up. The max speed on your cruise is set to 110 kph but with bigger tires your actual speed will be closer to about 119 kph.

Thanks, I'll try that :)

So thats why I can't set the cruise at 140km/h to keep up with lower mainland traffic flow! Thought it was buggered.

There might be a workaround, but yes, they are limited to that max as they come from the factory.

You mean lower mainland traffic speeds have increased?!? When I lived there 2-3 years ago you might be able to get to 80km/h at off hours!

.. out in the valley if you do 120k/h on the highway you'll be passed as though your standing still. Hit the Port Mann and you're lucky to do 20k/h.
