Went to the CL property with Travis and Ryder last weekend for a quick trip to check out the snow.

Loaded up for trip to the Crater Lake property with my buddy Travis. Should be a chill trip. My only plan is to tile my shower in the bath house and plant 25 Quaking Aspen trees.

Got the the Crater Lake property. Almost 21 mpg hauling the boat and gear averaging 70 mph at 2000 rpms. The HX-30 Super is amazing on hills. With the HX-30 I’d need to downshift due to EGT getting quickly over 1250F but not with the HX-30 Super, I can not only stay in 5th gear on mountain grades but maintain over 30 psi of boost. An amazing upgrade. Oh not to mention the turbo spool!

Started framing Travis’s shower yesterday after settling into. Installed his shower liner and poured the self leveler last night. Made Philly Steak sandwiches last night. As always a great getaway! The family and friends are coming Friday so hope to have the showers at his and my property done.

Reload got plenty of exercise yesterday going back and forth the 900’ between Travis and my property.

When Travis dug his trench for running 3” conduit for power he must of hit his septic line to the tank as septic the black water from the trailer was coming out of the ground when he drained it. Dug it up to see a chunk of pipe has gone. We were going to Klamath Falls anyhow to get materials so just one more thing to get.

Long day. First tile job I’ve ever done. So rewarding. Project Snowball❄️ and the Crater Lake vacation property have been such great projects.

Friday morning worked hard to finish the shower as family and friends were coming later in the day to camp for Father’s Day weekend.
Decided to make a pocket to hold shampoo and soap. Used the window middle grid line as a level for the wall height on the shower wall. I liked having one upper row of windows to help let natural light into the shower.

Travis swinging Reload. Travis setup 17 woodpiles to burn on his lot just for fun as we played games in the middle.

Sunday we decided to hike the Upper Rogue River from Boundary Spring to the bridge on FSR 6530. Almost 9 miles with over 1,000 elevation loss. Took us 6.5 hours navigating a nearly non existent trail after a past wildfire. The upper tail follows the steep canyon wall then dives into the old growth canyon to remote Rough Rider Falls and a smaller unnamed waterfall.

Today we went up to Crater Lake via the south entrance because the north entrance was still closed due to deep snow. Stopped and checked out Annie Falls in beautiful weather. From there it quickly went to winter.

After powdering her nose at Crater Lake went back to the CL property to play disc golf and games with kids. My wife made some amazing Kabobs for dinner.
