Hiya, been looking at valve lash posts and notice folks coming up with different ways to turn the crank by hand.
In neutral, without removing radiator shroud, glow plugs or jacking wheels, I can match tdc on the pully using a two prong adjustable spanner which fits in the two holes on the pulley and squeezes in behind the fan.
Just mocked up a spare for photo reference. It is originally for angle grinders of different sizes, been a handy tool.
