Just wanted to share what corrected my issue here: Went out to start my 98' and got the crank no start issue. With help of forum posts, i checked for tach needle movement during crank and noticed it had zero movement. (Had previously verified good fuel pressure and "no" spark). Oddly enough i had no codes stored. Ordered a new crankshaft position sensor Part number 2CRK0048 from Amazon $25, installed and it fired off on 2nd cranking attempt. So far so good. Strange but my O2 sensor codes that kept coming back after replacing the O2 sensors have not reappeared since replacing the crank sensor.

What a great result for a very difficult-to-diagnose problem. If you do get that O2 sensor fault back, IMO it is best to replace both sides upstream at the same time, the downstream ones will probably outlive us all.
