Crack/Hack/Unlock Stock OBD-2 ECU?

I searched but didnt find any real information. So just asking VFR direct. Has anyone been able to unlock to tune a stock OBD-2 ECU? I've had several vehicles that I have been able to tune the stock ECUs and have been happy with the outcomes.

I don't think its possible. There's a few options for adapting aftermarket ECUs like haltechs eg:

Unichip looks like is just signal modifying box. Looks like I need to do some more digging, first figuring out what protocol is being used.

Does the ECU have a removable E-EPROM ?

Nope, not going to happen.

Toyota's are notorious for not being crackable, always have been. An aftermarket ECU is possible but you gotta figure out what you want to do for controlling the transmission.
